Hot August Nights is an incredible event that takes place in Reno Nevada. If you like cars, from new cars to classic cars this is the place to be. Thousands of people from around the world gather here with an insane collection of cars from old to new. This is a great family event or a great place to check out some wicked rides.
I my self love cars, and this place is eye candy, I have been attending this event since I was 15 years old, yes that long. If you ever get a chance to attend you should, there are great concerts, awesome street food, and of course some insane collector cars.
Here are some aerial photos from the weekend. I shot this on my DJI Phantom 3. I love this drone, it shoot well on low lighting situation and the images are nice and large. It has been windy here but I still managed a few good flights. I made a video to show you how you can get some great drone shots as well. Scroll to the bottom to watch. People often ask me what filters I use on my drone, here is a link to the kit I have.
This is one of my favorite places to come hang out and relax. It is a nice quiet beach away from the noise. I often come here with my parents, this particular day I was here with my dad. It was really nice being here enjoying the sunset in piece. If you are ever in Miami this place is a must.
Walking the streets of Key West at 1 AM I found this awesome Chevy Power Glide. I am a total car guy and I absolutely love cars. This beautiful car a caught my eye when I was looking for an awesome place to shoot. What more awesome do you want?!?!? I quickly stopped to admire the lines and the attention to detail.
I love old cars, but I really love “Rat Rods” I’m not sure what category this falls into but I really like this car. I shot it for about 45 minutes and people stared coming up to it and taking pictures with it. It’s funny to see how people act when there is someone with a camera taking photos. In their mind they think someone looks professional and its taking photos, I better get a photo my self ….
I love London and this particular trip there was no different. I went the by my self for two days. I was actually on my way to Malta and a few other Countries but I had to stop in this incredible city. It was really cold and rainy the entire time I was there. Even though the conditions were not the best to shoot, I still made it happen.
I have learned that sometimes you have to work with the weather and really challenge your self to take interesting photos. In this particular case I had to work with lots of rain and beautiful clouds. I quickly realized that long exposures were on my side.
I shot most of these long exposures in bulb mode and some where over 2 minutes in length. Overall I really like the results. These are my favorites from that particular trip. You can see them on my Shop Gallery on this link.
One of my favorite places to hang out in California. The Santa Monica Pier. I actually want to move here eventually. This place is really awesome. The vibes are good and the crisp ocean air is truly amazing. I really enjoy watching the California sunsets from here, they are always epic. This particular day, it was cloudy and a bit cold but it was really good being out there. I miss it… I’m long overdue for a California trip.
