Editing an oceanscape in Lightroom

In this video I will show you how to edit a beautiful oceanscape. I shot this during sunrise this morning and the weather was amazing. Before the sun came up all the colors were super pastel and it was really nice being out there. The way I shot this photo I was on my tripod and I was about 2 feet from the sand and used a really wide angle lens. All the details in the video.

Miami Beach Sunrise Expecting a Storm

I woke up this morning and went to the beach to teach a sunrise photography workshop. There were a lot of people there from the new some from the weather channel because we aren’t were expecting some sort of storm. The storm never came in the sunrise was amazing. The only thing that came were amazing colors and a permanent grin.

How to edit a dramatic foggy photo in Lightroom

In this video I will teach you how to edit a foggy dark dramatic photograph. I shot this in Miami Florida on a very stormy and windy night. I really like how the clouds cover tips of the buildings. I wanted to clean of the image make it nice and bright but give it a dramatic feel to it. In this video you will see that with a few simple sliders you can make any image pop.

Miami Beach

Here is a picture of my favorite lifeguard tower in Miami Beach. This photo is kind of hard to get as the flowers are only there about 1 week out of the year. I went by a few times but I never really got a dramatic sky, however I do like this photo.

I spend lots of time at this particular lifeguard tower, its one of my favorite places to catch a sunrise here in Miami Beach.

Find Your Beach

Here is a shot of this Corona can with the Miami Skyline behind it. I wanted to create the feel of the lifestyle in Miami. I placed my camera on the floor about one foot away from the can and started doing 15 second exposures. I used a small LED light to light the can for about 5 seconds from about 15 feet away. I used the distance to diffuse the light a bit. I wanted to give it some shallow depth of field but I wanted the viewer to know it was the Miami skyline so I shot it at f11.

Oldest Church in Miami Beach

This is the oldest church in Miami Beach Florida. It is located in Lincoln Road and I walk by it almost daily. It is a very lovely church and I really like the simplicity of it. Founded in 1921 and every religion is welcome it is a non denominational church.

It was rumored for a long time that they were going to tear it down, so I went in to speak to someone about it. The rumors were just that, rumors. The church is there to stay and open to the public. Below is a video of how I retouched this photo of this incredible place.
