Carnival Sensation out to Sea at Sunset

Here is a photo of the Carnival Sensation going out to sea during sunset. I love watching the ships leave the port, they all leave one after the other and its awasome to wacth. They usually start leaving around 5pm and there are about 5-6 that leave. I usually watch them from South Point Park. It is awesome. If you are ever in Miami Beach, I highly recommend you go watch them.

Cargo Ship Coming Into Port

Here is a massive cargo ship coming into the Miami Port. Every time I see one of this things come in I wonther 2 things. 1. How do this things stay a float?!?!? 2. How much drugs do you think are hidden in there?!?!?!?! Craziness. I shot this with my DJI Phantom. I love flying out in the ocean, the water color is so nice and you can see how the color changes as the water gets deeper.

Moon over Miami

This is a really cool photo. It was a sunrise, Miami looked erie, and quite gray, but the moon looked amazing. Lucky for me I had my 70-200mm lens. I quickly pulled it out and took a few shots of this awesome scene. I couldn’t believe how big the moon was, so I sat there and admired it for a while before I headed back home with a fat grin on my face. Once I got home, I really couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed, lucky for me I have a photo of it that always take me back to that day.

Cruise Ships at Port

Living in Miami I always see this massive cruise ships arriving and leaving the port, I have actually been in a few of this things and they are impressive. I always feel so tiny!!! I always wonder how this massive structures float. (displacement I know, I know, but I mean seriously??)

Over the last couple weeks I have been going to the port to shoot this things parked, loading and unloading people, food, and drinks. It has been a fun project and one I will continue to work on in the next few months.

They almost look like toys from up high, but I can assure you they are anything but. Some are smaller than others, some are elegant and some just look like a blast!!!

The last one on this page is my favorite, I shot it a few different days with different lighting, but this one is the best. Have you ever been on one?

Port of Miami Sunset (how to video)

Port of Miami Sunset (how to video)

I shot this a few weeks back from South Pointe Park here in Miami Beach. I often come here to watch the sunset and watch the ships leave the port of Miami. Its an spectacular site to see, not only the massive ships leaving but also the amazing sunsets you get to see from this park. This sail boat was coming into port as this ship was leaving and it looked like they were going to crash.

I made a video to show you how to edit photos like this one and get colors out of your images. Thats why its very important to always shoot RAW. (I made a video on this, its somewhere on my channel)

Camera settings: 1/200 of a second F2.8 ISO 500 I shot this with a 70-200mm lens my Aperture was wide open and my ISO was high because I didn’t have a tripod and had to shoot this handheld, shooting the photograph this way prevented any blur or fuzziness on my photograph.
