Here is a picture of my favorite lifeguard tower in Miami Beach. This photo is kind of hard to get as the flowers are only there about 1 week out of the year. I went by a few times but I never really got a dramatic sky, however I do like this photo.
I spend lots of time at this particular lifeguard tower, its one of my favorite places to catch a sunrise here in Miami Beach.
This is the oldest church in Miami Beach Florida. It is located in Lincoln Road and I walk by it almost daily. It is a very lovely church and I really like the simplicity of it. Founded in 1921 and every religion is welcome it is a non denominational church.
It was rumored for a long time that they were going to tear it down, so I went in to speak to someone about it. The rumors were just that, rumors. The church is there to stay and open to the public. Below is a video of how I retouched this photo of this incredible place.
This is one of my favorite shots from Ocean Drive. I was actually teaching one of my Sunset and Night Photography Workshops when I shot this photo. I saw this puddle of water on the floor and I knew I had to get down really low and get a reflection shot of the iconic Colony Hotel. To shoot this I had to get on the ground and I was shooting super wide. I used my 14-24mm lens.
If you are a new photographer in Miami you probably haven’t heard of this place. It is a very cool spot to take pictures from. Its on the top of a parking garage and it is open to the public. You do not have to do anything illegal to get here, simply park and look over the wall to see the amazing lights.
I come here often to get some pictures and clear my head. Above is the exact location. Maybe I’ll see you there?
I love Miami, the ocean, the architecture, the boats, beautiful people everywhere, the kickback beach life style. I can go on and on and on about the things I love about this place, that’s why I moved here.
Hear me out, there is one major thing about Miami that I truly, truly hate. I has bothered me since the day I got here, and it seems to be getting worse before it gets any better. How does this relate to my photography?
1. It is a place I take a lot of photos from, and bring lots of out of town friends to take pictures.
2. It is changing everything around me (us) and its also changing what is in my photos.
