South Beach Santa

The other day I purchased an awesome Santa costume. I have always wanted to do a video of Santa Clause in South Beach. Miami Beach is hot year-round, so Christmas doesn’t really feel like Christmas. I thought what a better way to get into the Christmas spirit.

I called up my friend Luciano and off we went to shoot in South Beach. The rest is history. Below is the final video we made. I hope it brings a smile to your face. We had a blast making it.  I will have a making off in a few days. Don’t forget to leave me a comment below or in the video and please subscribe to my channel. The video was shot on my Go Pro Hero 5 and my Sony 6500 on a Zhiyun Crane-M.

Merry Christmas everyone.  Enjoy.

K&F Concept Backpack Review

This is a full in-depth review of the K&F Concept Backpack. This bag is small but it carries a punch. It is very well-built, waterproof, light, and best of all it is very affordable.

As a travel landscape photographer, I need to pack very light. It is not fun to carry heavy bags around, and this bag does the trick. I can fit everything that I need and have room for more.

In this review, I show you the entire bag and you can see how there is plenty of room for more things. K&F Concept Backpack bag is well made and it actually looks really good. It does not look like your typical dorky camera bad, and we all know looks are important.

Check out the video and let me know if you have any questions in the comments below. If you have the bag I would love to hear your thoughts.

Get it on Amazon here or directly from K&F here. Check out my entire line up here.

How to travel to the Everglades

How to travel to the Everglades is a really good question. Let’s break it down. What do you think about when you see this image? Every time I am out at the Everglades National Park, and I watch sunsets like this one, I immediately think I am in Africa, I know right? It looks just like you would imagine Africa to look like.

The first thing that comes to my head is the Lion King song, followed by the thought that I am not in Africa, and I am actually at the Everglades National Park in South Florida. What can I say? This place never disappoints, it just feels good to be out here, one with nature, and to catch an African Lion King sunset is just a bonus.

How to Travel to the Everglades

The Everglades is a massive river full of interesting wildlife. What most would consider creepy, I find beautiful. From the time you enter the park, you start to see alligators laying out warming up their bodies through their thick alligator skin.  Once you watch the Gators for a while and get deeper into the swamp, you start to find so many different species of birds, such as owls and vultures.

It is a common site to see vultures eating a rotting corpse, usually a deer or a dead alligator. It is just nature taking its course and you can’t help but watch. Once you get into the waters you can see all sorts of cool fish, from baby fish to the awesome Florida Gar.

The Everglades is home to some of the coolest species in the world. What some people would see in nightmares (only because scary movies paint alligators and vultures as evil), you will find here. Once you are in their element you understand this animal, and you see that there is nothing to fear. They just look a bit intimidating that’s all.

If you are ever on this side of the world, I urge you to go experience the Everglades and catch yourself an incredible sunset. Check out the video below, that’s how my trip to the glades goes.

Living the Dream

I am living the dream! That’s what we all want to be able to say right?

I had an awesome photography workshop this morning and it was epic, to say the least. I feel like I am dreaming every time I am in the presence of the Atlantic Ocean. Feeling the ocean breeze hit my face makes me smile like a kid at a toy store.

I have always had this idea in my head, that when I was older I would move to a warm beautiful beach somewhere, live on the sandy beach where the high tide would come up to my front doorsteps. Somewhere where I would wake up in a hammock in the middle of the night listening to the beautiful waves as they draw a big fat juicy smile on my face. Somewhere touristy where I would teach people how to surf or scuba or do something cool while they are on their dream vacation.

It was not until this morning when I realized I am living my dream. The dream I have been dreaming for a long time. It is crazy to think that I am doing everything I have described above. Well, I do not have a house on the beach (not yet anyway) however I live very close to it. So close to it I can walk to it, ride my skateboard, bicycle or if I really wanted to drive for 3 seconds and be upon its presence.

The best part of the story is that I teach workshops on the beach, sunrise photography workshops. Yes, I have subconsciously created the life I have always dreamed of. Crazy to think that right? I live in paradise, and teach people something I love to do.

The universe always works its self out. If you believe in something so bad and visualize it in your head day in and day out, it will eventually come true. Do not get me wrong, I have worked my butt off to get to this point, but it is happening. I feel so blessed to be in the situation that I am in.

I just launched my new Photography Workshops website, after teaching workshops to locals for over 5 years, I have opened the door to everyone from everywhere just about every day of the week. You guys kept asking me when I was going to do this, here you have it.

My new site is called WalksofMiami.com please drop in, check out the site and the blog. Leave us a comment and book your next adventure with us. I promise it will be an unforgettable one. If you want to help us, simply share it with your friends and help us spread the word. We will be adding new tours, new photography guides and loads of new photos.
