I hate it when I get stuck in a funk, but as an artist you must fight through and get out of it. This doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it can be really frustrating, you just have to remember to push through it and get the job done.
This was happening to me over the weekend, however persistence paid off. This is such a great spot to photograph, but for some reason I could not find my grove.
I kept pushing through until I finally got a decent shot. Here are the results. Check out the vid to see the how frustrated I was and what led up to finally capturing this shot.
I often post this kind of photos, for some reason I find them extremely pleasing to the eye. I have been shooting this kind of photos since my kite days. I do it now for helicopters and drones. One thing about this kind of photography, it never gets old.
Ansel Adams once said “Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer – and often the supreme disappointment.” I could not agree more with this quote. It is only when all the elements come together and you happened to be there that the magic will happen.
For me, that was yesterday. It all happened so fast, but when it was all said and done, it was perfect. Top that off by an awesome circle of friends to share that moment with, and you have the perfect recipe for awesomeness.
I was digging through some hard drives to find some fireworks photos for yesterdays post and I ran into these photos from 7 years ago.
I can remember this exact day, I was driving across Florida when I ran into this abandoned place. It was massive and I had go get in through a small hole on the fence. It turns out the building was empty, but it was still cool to shoot and explore for a bit.
After finding some old paper work it turns out this was a packing company from 1968. Crazy to think about what happened or why it closed.
What is even crazier is that I found these photos along with some other cool folders that I will be posting later on.
I love it when the elements come together and all I have to do is press the shutter. Of course part of it is being there at the right time, but when this happens it just perfect.
I shot this yesterday before sunset, and all though sunset was amazing, this is actually my favorite photo of the day. It was just perfect.
Check out the vid to see bts. Unfortunately I received a ticket as I was loading my car to leave. The reason “parking at a park after hours” Super lame!
Here is a video I shot a while back with my friend Natalia, its called one last chance because that is the name of the song. We went out to the beach to make a cool video from the sky and this is what we came up with. There is another one on the works… Check out the behind the scenes video at the bottom of the post.
