Miami Beach Beach Huts

Miami Beach Beach Huts.

I walk by this beach huts every day, they come in all shapes and sizes and they are all super cool. This particular day the clouds were just right, it was over cast and the lighting was perfect. I shot a lot of them but this three are my favorites.

Beachhuts3

Anything beach related I just love, maybe its just the mood the beach puts me in. It truly makes me happy, something about the water, warm weather and just being outside…

Beachhuts2

I like them both B&W and in color not sure what I like best so I just thought I would post both side by side, I suppose depends what kind of mood I’m in B&W or color. What do you like better?

Must see places in Miami Beach

Must see places in Miami Beach.

Here is a list I have put together the most photogenic places in Miami Beach. This are the must see places when visiting. This are my personal favorite and when I am home, you can often find me at this spots catching a nice sunset or snapping some pics. This list is for photographers and tourists alike.

Number one. This is probably the most popular, The Colony Hotel on Ocean Dr. between 7th and 8th Street. This place is always packed and you can find photographers and tourists lined up to get a shot of the Colony Hotel. Lots of movies have been filmed here and continue to be filmed here. Large crowds of people gather around this place like a pile of ants do when they find a little snack.

Number 2. The beach. I know I know its obvious right? Well not for a lot of people, if your here you have to go to the beach and catch a sunrise, they come in all shapes colors and sizes, sure to please the soul.

Number 3. Española Way, this is street you would find in Europe, though is a short walk you are sure to enjoy it this is best experienced at night.

Espnola

Number 4. South Pointe Park. This is my favorite spot in all of Miami Beach. What is cool about this park is that it wraps around the most Southern tip of the Island, from the beach (starting at the Jetty lifeguard tower) to the West, where you can catch a sunset you only see in magazines over the Miami Skyline. This is best experienced on a bicycle, walking or with a loved one. (see next photo below of an aerial view)

Number 5. Maurice Gibb Memorial Park, here you can catch a sunset, go paddle boarding, have a picnic or simply relax. Lots of people come here to do Yoga during the sunset. I often come to watch the sunset with my doggies.

MauriceGibbMemorialPark

Number 6. Watson Island Park, this place is located behind the Children’s Museum. Very easy to find. Here you can see an incredible view of the Miami Skyline, great for a sunset shoot or a really cool night shot. Lots of people come here to fish and hang out. You are guaranteed to run into a photographer (or many) here any day or night of the week. Lots of cloud formations often changing, you are always guaranteed an insane shot and a feel good kind of evening.

DJI Phantom Vision 2 review

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][text_output]DJI Phantom Vision 2 review:  Good morning everyone, so I have been asked by many to review the DJI Phantom Vision 2, here are my thoughts on it. Most importantly look at the photos and you decide if this is a good unit or not. I love mine and think its a cool affordable little unit with lots of potential. (click on the photo on the right to see the specs and price)[/text_output][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][image type=”none” float=”none” link=”true” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7581″ href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]When it arrived to my house it arrived in a really nice box, very well packaged. You have to put it together but its really simple, very self explanatory. They even give you tools incase you aren’t the handy type and don’t have any.[/text_output][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7810″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][text_output]The company claims this is really easy to fly, but I completely disagree. This is by no means a toy and it can be rather difficult to fly. You have to have a very good sense of directon  and be very coordinated. You also have to have good eyes, this thing will disappear in the sky. One thing is for sure, you will crash its just a matter of time. (I have seen many people crash this to complete destruction, I have crashed mine too, just not too bad) Be prepared for it. You also have to be careful not to hurt anyone around you including your self, trust me its not that hard to crash this thing into to your head.[/text_output][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7818″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][text_output]The battery:  On a full charge you can fly for about 25 minutes, trust me this is plenty of time to get the job done (unless you just want to play around).  I purchased an extra battery, thats just how I roll. If you are a serious photographer and are planning to use it a lot, I suggest you get an extra battery or two. Its nice to always have a full charge, specially during on a road trip.[/text_output][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7813″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][text_output]The Camera:  The camera is not very good, its mediocre at that. That being said, it will get the job done. The camera is capable of shooting both, JPEG and RAW files. The images you can get are good, not cover of a magazine good, but still really good if you spend a little bit of time on post. I use Lightroom but you can use any editing software out there to edit your files. (I have never tried the video on it)[/text_output][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7812″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][text_output]My over all thoughts:  I think this is a very good affordable unit. You can use it for fun or use it for work, either way for the price you can’t beat it. I am very happy with mine, and even though I wish the camera was a bit better, for the price you can not beat it. Its compact, its light and the best part about it, you can see what you are shooting before you click the shutter.[/text_output][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7809″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][text_output]I hope this was helpful to you guys, if you have any questions please drop me a line below. If you have one Id love to hear your experiences with this thing.  But most importanly I think the photos speak for themselves good or bad, this were all produced but the DJI Phantom Vision 2. This are both RAW and JPEGs. Can you tell witch one is witch?[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7811″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7814″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7815″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7816″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][image type=”none” float=”none” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”7817″ link=”true” href=”http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/999838-REG/dji_djphvision_phantom_vision.html/BI/8661/KBID/9810/kw/DJPV/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xDJPV”][gap size=”1.313em”][text_output]All photos are taken in Miami Beach Florida and surrounding areas.[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Ocean Dr. Dressed in Black

Ocean Dr. Dressed in Black.

Good afternoon people. Las night was windy and a bit cool, (for Miami Beach) but I managed to get on my bicycle and head to Ocean Dr. The clouds were just amazing. I could’t look at them thought my window without going out there and taking some pix. I posted this on Facebook earlier but the resolution was bad, so here it is. Ocean Dr. dressed in Black. Here is one from Miami Beach. I shot this from a helicopter, you can see the action on the video below. What you see here is called South Pointe Park, its the very most southern tip of Miami Beach. This is also where all the cargo ships and cruise ships come into port. This place is gorgeous, its a beautiful park to hang out and watch the sun set behind the Miami Skyline.
