This was a major push over my decision to move to my new place. I am addicted to sunsets, and with sunsets like this every single night my decision was quite easy to make. I love my new place, this is my daily walk in the morning and in the afternoons. You can come to this walkway any time of the day and get some insane views. If you are visiting Miami come by I promise it wont disappoint, and hey maybe we will bump into each other :)
Yesterday I posted a photo of Monument island where you could see part of downtown. In the post I mentioned how I had shot the island earlier and you could not see anything at all.
This is what I was talking about. I particularly like how the monument is being lit up. I had to wait until the light was just right.
I woke up bright and early to shoot the blanket of fog covering the Miami Skyline. It was so thick you could not see anything. Once the sun came up a bit it light up Monument Island perfectly. That’s what you see here. The white monument is in a man made island called Monument Island. What you see in the back are the buildings of Downtown Miami starting to show as the fog cleared up. I shot some earlier where you can not see anything at all. I will post soon.
I woke up this weekend to shoot the sunrise, unfortunately it was not very picturesque. I felt great to be out there, but the sky was flat, there were no colors and it was just boring for a photos.
This is where my creativity kicked in. I brought some tortillas from home (I know I’m super Mexican) in case this happened. I’m always super prepared, and I’m glad. I started throung tiny pieces to the air for the birds to come and I could get some sort of shot acoomplished, not oly that but it was fun messing around with my friends on the beach at 6:30am
The first pic is me, I put the cam on a tripod on a timer and let it fire while I was running around like a maniac. The second shot was more of what I was aiming for.
Settings: 1/125 F10 ISO 100
This is where you can find me in the mornings shooting the sunrise. If you are ever around come say hi.
Good morning, I did a live broadcast yesterday during sunset on my Facebook page. What can I say, sunsets in Miami never disappoint. Its so good to be out in 75 degree weather in the middle of winter hanging out chatting with people from all over the world. Facebook live is one of my favorite platforms to conect with people, its great to share my experiences and interact with you at that very moment.
Here are some of the shots I got, and a vid I made. I do this live things often so subscribe to the page to get notifications. I need to upgrade my drone, I’m just not sure what route I want to go. Any suggestions?!?!
Here is a pic of the Old Bridge in Key West Florida. I planned this shot around the sun. I wanted to get the sun setting right in the middle of the bridge. The time to shoot it is December, its the only time you can get this exact shot.
I used a 70-200mm lens zoomed in at 200mm
Camera settings: 1/125 F13 ISO 100 Remember that if you want to make the sun bigger you need to shoot it at 300mm + (I recommend a 600mm) if you have it.
