Grand Canyon National Park

The Grand Canyon National Park

As the sun starts to go down the colors start to change, the mood sets, and the universe gets quiet.

For the next 15 minutes you can see the sun hide behind the Grand Canyon, like an orchestra performing in perfect harmony right before my eyes. I take a deep breath, take it all in, and smile.

This is what I love about photography, it’s an excuse to constantly see places like this, record a slice of time, and share it with the world.

These are my favorite shots of the Grand Canyon from my recent road trip to the West Coast.

Calypso Cave Malta

Calypso Cave is located in a cliff just off Xaghra; overlooking Gozo’s most sought-after sandy beach, Ramla Bay.

This site is thought to be the same cave Homer mentioned in `The Odyssey’ where Calypso, the beautiful nymph, kept Odysseus as a `prisoner of love’ for seven years.

Calypso had promised him immortality if he stayed with her, but he escaped when he could, and returned to his wife Penelope.

Stunning views of Ramla Bay
Natural sites – Calypso cave
It is presumed that the cave is a complex labyrinth, extending down to sea level at some points, however, stone boulders block the way a few metres inwards.

The cave’s interior and exterior are not too impressive but the magnificent views over Ramla Bay and the valley make the visit all worth it.

On the shore below Calypso Cave one can also observe the remains of the Marsalforn tower, a fortification built by the Knights of Malta in the early-eighteenth century to protect against sea-ward attacks. Source Malta.com

Miami Beach Fishing

Its not every morning I wake up and find fisher man out on the beach. Its usually surfers, and beautiful girls doing yoga, but today there was a couple fisher man. The ocean was so calm and quiet, and the fish were biting. Once 6:45 hit, the colors just started getting crazy. Not a bad way to start the week. We will see what tomorrows sunrise has in store for us…

Antelope Canyon Arizona

Antelope Canyon Arizona

I have seen a million photos of this place, and I had always wondered what it was like, what it felt like, what it smelled like, and of course what it looked like in person.

I finally made it out there and it was truly amazing, seeing it for the first time was like unwrapping a present when your five years old under your christmas tree. The walls are so tall that when the sun light hits the rocks just right, they change colors like a rainbow during an afternoon rain shower.

We had a tour scheduled for 2pm, but lucky for us one opened up at noon. This is the best time to visit because the sun is directly over the canyon and you get more sun beams coming through. The tour guides are super cool, they grab handfuls of dirt from the ground and throw it in the air so you can get some shots of the beams coming through, it is truly magical.

I took lots of shots but these are some of my favorites. I will certainly be coming back some time in the near future. I will update this post soon with more photos from this place.

Miami Beach Sunrise at the Coolest Lifeguard Tower

Miami Beach Sunrise

4 am I open my eyes, I look at the clock and realize I am not going back to bed. I turn on the tv and its forensic files, I look at the clock and its 5:30 am. At this point I’m thinking about the ocean and an amazing sunrise but I’m glued to my bed, next thing you know I get this image in my head. I look at the clock ant its 6:15am. I jump out of bed throw on some shorts grab my camera and go to the beach. The sky was perfect.

The first image is what I had in my head while laying in my bed, but when I got there and I started walking around I realized there was lots more potential and more awesome angles to be had.

Pebble Beach California

Pebble Beach California, one of the most beautiful places in California, and a place this eyes never get tired of seeing. I was up in Monterey for a few days just relaxing and I came here every night to watch the sunset.

This place is located right off the 17 Mile Drive facing the Pacific., just pull over to the side of the road and enjoy the scenery. This place is so incredible, you see it on TV all the time but you never really know what something is like until you see it in real life and explore it for yourself.

I have been coming to this place for years and every time I come here it gets better and better. I only caught one good sunset, the rest of the time it was just like you see in this photo, kind of moody and overcast, but beautiful non the less.

There are tons of places to shoot from on the famous 17 Mile Drive, so if you are only there for one day make sure you come early and explore where you want to shoot your sunset from because there is tons of amazing places. I can’t wait to come back…
