Morning before Hurricane Mathew

Here is a photo I shot in the morning of Hurricane Mathew, I showed up at 5am and waited until sunrise, what you see was right after sun had came up, not much of a sunrise, but the beach was really calm, empty and the sand was perfectly comed by the wind.

Lucky for us the Hurricane missed us and everything went back to reality rather quickly.

Kissed by the sun

Rise and shine, today is the best day ever!!! I woke up at 4am to track Mathews but it is still very peaceful here in Miami. I went to the beach and it was completely empty (even after the sun came up), there is a mild wind carrying an eerie energy with it. There are city workers cleaning up the beach preparing for Mathews, who knows what is going to happen. Here is what I saw, I felt I was being kissed by the sun. This was shot on Oct 5th before hurricane Mathew…

Sunset Strikes again

I love sunsets, specially when they are spectacular, here is an example of that. I shot this in Miami the other day and the colors were just insane. I heard someone compared them to those of a Peacock. I completely agree, what a site to see.

American Airlines Arena from the Air

Someone asked me what my most favorite aerial photo I have ever taken is, and with out thinking about it, this one came to mind. From the moment I shot it I really loved it. I think it tells great story. This is the American Airlines Arena, where the Miami Heat play. I shot this at night and it turned out just incredible.

I often try to replicate this image but it is impossible, this was it, the moment is captured forever.

7 mile bridge from a drone

I shot these from my drone on my last trip to Key West. This is the 7 mile bridge, one of my favorite places to fly a drone from.

I come here often and every time I do I bring my drone. I can go on and on about shooting with a drone, but instead I have made a video about it I also explain how I get the water to look the way it does. Scroll to the bottom of this post and check out the video.

Brewing The Perfect Storm

Here are some photos I shot yesterday from my Drone. There was a crazy black cloud blanketing Miami, it looked like the sky was going to fall down. I was actually driving to an appointment and remembered that I had my drone in my car. I found a place to pull over and fly, unfortunately it did not last long, it started pouring about 3 minutes later.

I still managed to get a couple decent shots. Hurricane season is the best time to shoot in Florida, the weather is just insane and the clouds look really cool.
