Whats the perfect way to end a night? Well, for me it was shooting the sunset, for this two guys it was leaving the surfboards on the sand and going for a quick dip to release their inner child. It was loads of fun to watch and better yet to be a part of…
You can’t see the surfers as this was a long exposure. The reason I did the shot at F22 was to get the startburst effect on the lights.

Even time I watch the sunrise its like being re-born again. It is a reminder that the day ahead of us is full of opportunity and we must cease on that. I always try to make the best out of every single day of my life, from work to family to friends. I think I have found a balance but I keep my photography as my start of the day. I also wrap up the day by shooting a sunset.

In this video I will show you how to clean up a beach scape using some basic but effective sliders. You will see that making a goal adjustments and a few local adjustments can dramatically change an image.

One of the coolest things about photography is meeting all this wonderful people. I met this girl while I was out on the streets shooting some night photography, she was standing in the corner holding the sign up.
I went up to her and asked her what she was doing, she told me that she was traveling across the United States and this was the best way for her to make any kind of money. She says that people would get a laugh out of her sign and will usually give her a couple of bucks. She told me she’s been doing that the entire way from San Francisco to Miami. I asked her if I could take her picture and she smiled and said of course and this is what I got.
She said she was going to stay in Miami for a couple days before heading back to San Francisco. I wonder if she ever made it back…

I shot this a while back at the coolest Voodoo store in Miami. My friend told me she had heard about this place and took me there. They were performing some sort of ritual in the back room and the place was super smoked out. I was talking to the guys that worked there and they were supper cool in letting me take pictures of the store. They seem serious so I did not ask to got to the back room, I wanted to respect their ceremony being that they were nice enough to let me shoot the store.

I go out every day with a great attitude, but sometimes mother earth does not want to cooperate, and that is ok. Thats one of the things I love about landscape photography, you can’t control the light or the elements and you really never know what you are going to get.
This particular mooring was extremely dull, there were no clouds and nothing really to get your attention. This is the part where you really have to think and really have to get creative. I sat there and thought about how I could create a good composition, so I observed the elements and what was in front of me, shortly I realized that I could get the earths energy with the sun and showdown, a touch of life with the birds, and a peaceful feeling by not having any clouds. Once I figured this out I walked away with a great photo.
Photography really is this deep and complex, its not just showing up and snapping a shot, even though sometimes we wish it was.
