What camera should I buy? I get asked this question at least once a day, so here is a list of cameras I have put together for every budget. These are cameras that I would buy or have already in my bag.
First thing you should ask your self is how much money do I want to spend? Is this a hobby or do I want to become a professional photographer? Should I go with Nikon or Canon? Now let me start by saying that you can not go wrong with any of the 2 brands, just keep in mind that whatever brand you choose you will probably be married to for the rest of time. I happened to purchase a Nikon for my first DSLR and I have been married to them ever since. Check out What’s in my bag?. All my lenses and cameras are Nikon, lots of my friends shoot with Cannon and they love it. There is a wide range of DSLR’s out there but in my opinion this are the best ones for the price.
If you are just starting to dabble into photography and don’t want to spend lots of money, I recommend either one of these two cameras. The Nikon D3200 or the Canon EOS Rebel T3. They are ready out of the box, all you have to do is buy an SD Card and you are set. They both take amazing photos and you won’t grow out of them right away. They both come with an 18-55mm lens that you can always upgrade, but the lenses are not bad to start off with, I still use mine from time to time believe it or not.

The next step up from entry level is the Nikon D5100 and the Canon 600D. Both of this cameras are impressive and you get a lot for you money.

Next we have the mid range cameras, for the more serious photographer, this will last you a long time, you wont grow out of them for a long long time. This pair also shoots amazing HD video. This cameras will get the job done at a reasonable price.
First we have the Nikon D7000, and the Canon 60d both amazing cameras to shoot photos and video. You will absolutely love either one.

Next level up we have two incredible semi-pro level cameras to suit your every need. You wont gro out of either of this two cameras. This are working machines . The Nikon D300s and the Canon 7D. I still keep a Nikon 300s in my bag.
