Playa Del Carmen Best Beach Bar

Playa Del Carmen Best Beach Bar. I shot this during sunset from my favorite hang out in Playa Del Carmen. This is a cool little beach bar called Fusion and it is incredible. They play live music every night, and they have a fire show at 9 PM also nightly. This is the spot to hang out at. You can bring your dog, you do not have to dress up and the best part about it is that you are right on the beach.

I recommend you come in your swim trunks and flip-flops so you can take a dip in between songs. This place is truly epic and the views are to die for. A must on your next visit to Playa del Carmen.

Best things to do in Playa del Carmen Mexico

Best things to do in Playa del Carmen Mexico. I wondered that before I moved down here. However, I had a bit of an idea. It is not rocket science to figure that out. I mean just look at the ocean and wait for the sun to come up.

Unquestionably one of the best places to catch the sunrise. I mean it is the Riviera Maya. Sitting on the beach taking in all this beauty I can’t help but think about the Mayans. This was their television set, their backyard. How incredible to be able to wake up to this every morning. It is absolutely stunning.

So, next time you head down, just ask yourself: What is the best thing to do in Playa del Carmen? The answer is simple. Walk down to the beach and catch the sunrise. You will be glad you did.

Mexico during the pandemic

Mexico during the pandemic.  I arrived in Mexico on January 7th. I decided to go because things were just not good in the States. We had Trump and “stay home” on every form of media imaginable, from print to social media and everything in between.

I got so fed up with it, that I decide to just leave. I had no plan, no arrangements, and really I had no idea what I was about to do, I just wanted to leave.

When I arrived in Mexico, I realized I had made the right choice. I quickly got an oceanfront apartment, and every morning I would wake up to this. Talk about the right move!

Tours I recommend in Playa del Carmen:

Abandoned Pier Playa del Carmen

Abandoned Pier Playa Del Carmen. This is the abandoned fishing pier in Playa del Carmen Mexico. It is a sight to see, and one of the coolest broken abandoned fishing piers I have ever stepped foot on.

You can actually swim to it and climb right up. You have to be super careful as there are a ton of rusty nails sticking up ready to send you to the hospital. So please be careful if you decide to be adventurous.

During sunset, the locals come here with a six-pack of beer and a joint to enjoy a nice sunset. I, however, like to show up with my camera.

On this day however I was shooting the sunrise and I decided to shoot it from shore, as the clouds behind it looked insane.

Tours I recommend in Playa del Carmen:

5th Avenue Playa del Carmen

5th Avenue Playa del Carmen. I love 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen. This is the bloodline of Playa as the locals call it.  5th ave is a pedestrian street full of restaurants and shops. You can find just about anything here. From tours in Playa and Cancun to some of your favorite American stores.

The bars and restaurants are what keeps 5th alive all night long. Even during the pandemic, these bars were open until late night early morning.
