Blue Lagoon Malta

The Blue Lagoon in Malta is quite amazing. I have heard about this paradise before, but seeing it with my own eyes is something else.

The Blue Lagoon is located between Malta and Gozo in the Mediterranean sea. You can get a boat charter there or rent a boat and take your self there. I did both. When I arrived there I felt like I was in paradise, I was so happy to be there. I hiked the island and swam in the perfect waters. It was just incredible. Make sure you bring some water and some snacks specially if you are going to stay there all day, and trust me you are going to want to do just that.

I’m not done with The Blue Lagoon just yet. I see a few more trips to this incredible place in my near future.

Sunset in Malta

Malta is a magical place. Its one of those places you had no idea existed, and when you get there, you are happy you arrived. I shot this in Gozo. Gozo is the neighbor island next to Malta. I was lucky enough to spend a week there in this incredible home overlooking the ocean. Malta is truly an incredible place that you must see.

Here are my settings: 1/400 sec f4.5 ISO 250

I shot this at a higher ISO because I wanted the photo to be really sharp. Often when you zoom in with a 70-200 lens you will get a blurry photo unless you shoot it at a fast shutter speed.

Popeye Village Malta

Popeye Village Malta.

Popeye Village, is a group of rustic wooden buildings located at Anchor Bay in the Mediterranean Island of Malta. This place was created to film the musical Popeye starting Robin Williams. It is now a fun park.

I had never heard about this place until I was in Malta, I was actually going through my twitter feed and saw a photo of it. I had to get there once I saw it.

It was not very hard to find, it is exactly 4 kilometers from the ferry station headed in the direction towards Malta, then you hang a right on Triq Tal-Prajjet and its one exactly 1 kilometer from there, you will run right into it.

When I arrived the place was closing down, so I was supper bummed out, but then I realized that I could walk around this cliff and get an insane view of the entire thing, no need to get in there even if the place was open for business. There is also a road that will take you to the water where you can stand of Popeyes boat dock.

Popeye Village is a must when visiting Malta.
