Nikon 24-85 Lens Review the Most Affordable Travel Lens
The Nikon 24-85 Lens is by far the most used lens in my bag. I travel so much, this lens is perfect. Not only is this lens light and compact it also has a great rage. I can shoot landscapes, portraits and just about anything with this beauty. The best part about it, it is very affordable for any photographer out there. Especially for a full frame lens.

This is a great all-around lens, it rarely leaves my camera, in fact, most of the images of my Miami Tours are shot with this lens. Why do I love it so much, I mean it is only a kit lens right?!
Let me tell you all about it, for starters, it is a nice compact lens. The Nikon D850 can be a bit bulky and heavy, especially when using a massive lense. The 24-85mm lens is light and compact. Making my set up a nice travel one.
I take a lot of 2 to 3-minute exposures. This is a great lens to use with my 10 Stop ND Filter and take some incredible long exposures. In fact, all my long exposure images shot on bulb mode are shot with this particular lens.
The NIKON 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5G ED VR AF-S Nikkor Lens is a full frame lens, however, it will work with your crop sensor camera. It comes in at just under $500 and it is a great all around lens. If you are wanting a new lens with great range that won’t break the bank, this is it.

This lens is light, it is very affordable, and it is very sharp. It is also weather sealed so you can shoot in any kind of crazy situation.
CONS
This particular lens is 3.5 to 5.6 so it is not a very fast lens. In fact, it is not very good in low light handheld situations.
CONCLUSION
This lens is a great lens for those who do not want to spend a lot of cash. It’s actually a kit lens that comes with most Nikon full frame cameras. It’s a good size lens, its sharp and it gets the job done. It is not a 2.8 lens however when in a pinch this lens will do the trick.
