Sunset in Malta

Malta is a magical place. Its one of those places you had no idea existed, and when you get there, you are happy you arrived. I shot this in Gozo. Gozo is the neighbor island next to Malta. I was lucky enough to spend a week there in this incredible home overlooking the ocean. Malta is truly an incredible place that you must see.

Here are my settings: 1/400 sec f4.5 ISO 250

I shot this at a higher ISO because I wanted the photo to be really sharp. Often when you zoom in with a 70-200 lens you will get a blurry photo unless you shoot it at a fast shutter speed.

Summer in Miami

It is hot here in Miami, hot and humid. I love it, that ocean breeze is amazing and keeps things cool. This was from a sunrise photography workshop I did the other mooring. I wanted to create a very summer like feel on this particular image. I knew how I wanted it to look when I was shooting it. The sun was bright and a bit harsh. I used this to my advantage and created exactly what was on my head. Below is a video of the edit, and the after picture.

Swimming With Sharks

I woke up at 3 in the morning to go on a 2.5 hour drive up North. I went to shoot the sunrise at this place called Blowing Rocks in Jupiter Florida. Once I got there I shot the sunrise and it was amazing. However I was shooting video from my Youtube Channel and some guy asked if we had seen the sharks. I said no what sharks??? He pointed and told us where he was swimming with them. I immediately fired up the drone and flew over them, it was amazing. I was so happy not only to watch the sunrise but also to have capture this amazing creatures. They were nurse sharks and appeared to be feeding near the beach.

The video is coming soon and I am posting videos daily. Come subscribe to my Youtube Channel and get behind the scenes videos and tutorials on how I edit all my photos.

Venice Beach California Skate Park Shot From A Kite

Venice Beach California, one of the coolest places in the world. I actually shot this photo about 4 years ago and I shot it from a kite. Yes a kite. Before drones were easily available and affordable there were kites, and believe it or not I used to do lots of kite photography.

Those days were awesome, setting up a kite and this crazy rig to go on the kite where your camera would attach to, it was scarry to say the least but lots of fun. It is fully controllable from a remote control except you can’t see the what you are shooting, its kind of a guessing game.

I have really been into this aerial photography thing for a while, its so cool seeing the world from above.

Fishing at the Pier

Living on the water is awesome for me. There is always something going on, from people surfing to fishing and everything in-between.

This is the South Pointe Fishing Pier in Miami Beach Florida. I was actually standing on the pier and when I looked down I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. This guy kept throwing his fishing net and for a photographer thats eye candy.

I kept shooting with my focus point on him and as soon as he threw the net I would take 2-3 shots.
