The Gear
The gear I used for all my photos: Nikon with a Nikon 14-24mm a Nikon 24-85mm a Nikon 70-200. A MeFOTO tripod is a must. I edit all my images with my Lightroom Presets download them and give them a try.
Where to stay
If you are looking for a place to stay in town I recommend the Lake View Lodge. It is close to everything, and it’s friendly and affordable.
Mono Lake Best Photography Spots
Once you arrive at Mono City and Mono Park, you will be very confused about where to go. I ended up driving around lost for hours. I would hate for you to do that.
Mono Lake South Tufa
The best place to photograph Mono Lake is Called South Tufa. It is a trendy place, and it is straightforward to get to. All you have to do is follow the sings. Below is a map on where it is. Just follow it, and you will be in photographers paradise.

These were shot at Sunset. I think it’s the best time to go out there.
Hi, the state parks website indicates South Tufa might be closed right now. What’s the next best spot for pics?
I’m not sure about another spot, what I would do, is try to find a back road. Or simply park close to it and walk down.
