My Private Island

Ok, not really, this is actually Monument Island located in the Miami Bay. I actually ride my paddle board here and it feels like a private island. Usually filled with boaters from all over Miami and the random paddle border that is looking to get away. I love this place it is quite cool because it is inaccessible by land. I used my Dji Lightroom Presets to edit these photos and a Mavic Pro to shoot them.

Sunrise with Friends

One of the best things about photography is sharing the special moment with my friends. This morning was no different, my friends and I decided to go out Saturday morning and shoot the sunrise at this particular spot.

Unlike the west coast, we do not have any cliffs or rocks or anything in the water, our landscapes are really plain. Plain is not bad it is beautiful in its own right, however, it can get boring at times.

This particular spot has this concrete pillars sticking out of the water, and that makes for some awesome compositions. That is the reason why we like this spot so much. There are not many like this in Miami.

Check out the video for bts footage.

Stormy sky

It is rain season in Miami. That means the sky is dark, mysterious and perfect for photos. This photo takes me to the middle of the ocean, I feel like I am in a sail boat by my self, like a pirate trying to find land. I love the clouds and the colors of the image specially how the sunlight hits the boats.

Orange Sunset

Landscape photography can be very unpredictable. You can be prepared, have all the right gear, scout the location for days sometimes even moths, and when you get there, the elements do not cooperate. This can also happen the same exact opposite way.

This is what I love about landscape photography, it is so challenging at times that it will test your patience and your skill, but when it comes together just right, all the failures go out the window.

This particular day as soon as the sun started to set, the sky just lit up orange, it was perfect, I felt like I was in another planet, I mean everything had this incredible orange glow to it. At that point all I had to do was press the shutter.

The Avalon

The Avalon, otherwise recognized by the awesome car parked outside of it. There are a few hotels with cool cars in front of them but to me this one is the coolest. I have done may shoots here, from musicians to workshops, and it just never gets old.

A must if you are visiting Miami Beach. Below is a map of the exact location.
