Good afternoon and happy Saturday people (Sunday to my Indian Peeps). As you know I just got back from a fantastic trip to Kerala India, I came back a changed man, so many stories, so many experiences, so many photos, but most importantly, so many new friends, some that will be in my life until the day I die. I am so grateful and lucky to have gotten the opportunity to go on this trip with so many talented, incredible people. I am forever thankful.

I have so many photos that I will be sharing with you. I will also be releasing a new series from this trip soon, so I think I’ll kick this off by giving you a Lightroom Preset that I made to edit this series. (watch the video where I tell you why I chose to use color and how to upload the preset)

I shot these photos the first day I was there, I was very green to India and a bit timid, I wasn’t sure how people were going to react. I quickly learned that people in India are more friendly than most places I have been to. I love shooting street photography, especially in India, its so fun and the people have so much character. Please drop me a line on the comments below :)

Lake Tahoe Before Sunset

Lake Tahoe Before Sunset

Here is a photo I shot last summer, it was a beautiful day, the lake was still, so still you could see the bottom. Right before sunset the trees glowed with the sun. It was perfect, so perfect I felt one with the lake.

This was shot from Sand Harbor beach. Its a beach facing the West located on the Nevada side. If you have never been to Lake Tahoe, you need to plan a trip. This place is amazing. Below is a video where I show you how I edit this photo.

How to fix leaning buildings

How to fix leaning buildings:

Good morning people, here is a shot of Miami taken a bit after sunset from Brikell Key. I love shooting from this place, just like any other place here in Miami, its just beautiful. You can walk around the entire island and just have an amazing relaxing time watching the sunset.

Below is a video I made on how to straighten out leaning buildings. If you look at my photos a lot of them have this leaning distorted look to them, I do that on purpose because I really like that look, I think it looks cool, almost comic bookish. If you hate that look, and I know lots of people do, its easy to fix. You can fix it in the field by adjusting your position, either going up or down or by doing this on post. Do you like this look? Let me know in the comments below.

Boudoir Photo Shoot

Boudoir Photo Shoot,
Happy Friday peeps, here is a shoot I did the other day in my studio, I used 2 lights, you can see the set up on the last photo. I mainly used 3 lights with an octo as my main, a beauty dish as fill and a 30 degree grid on the back for an accent. I turned off the beauty dish often to change the mood of the photos. If you have any questions drop me a line. Thank you for dropping in peeps… Spread the love…

Miami Heat Parade 2013

Miami Heat Parade 2013

Happy Friday the 13th. Earlier this year I shot the Miami Heat Parade. I shot it last year and I got some cool shots, but this year I wanted to get something different, I wanted to step outside the box and get some really unique shots, not what you see floating around the internet, but really something that would stand out.

I walked up and down the streets looking for a place to shoot, but I couldn’t find anywhere that was remotely safe or easy to get onto. Everything was packed and everyone was fighting for a spot. Imagine thousands of exited sports fans trying to get a free seat as close to the players as possible… exactly….

As I was walking towards the American Airlines Arena, I was crossing the railroad and I saw that everyone was up on top of this light stand, so I decided to give it a go. Not only was this light stand packed with people and the cops where yealling at people to get down, but the people already on there would not let anyone else up there. I fought my way and got my self a spot. After all this then I could start shooting.

I wanted to shoot the crowd more so than the players, I mean to me the crowd was far more interesting than some guy holding a trophy. So I started yelling and waiving at people waking by and taking their photos….. This is what I came up with…

How to create dramatic photos using Lightroom adjustment brushes

Good morning and happy Monday. Here is another shot of an amazing Miami Beach Sunrise. I often forget that I live here and have been missing out on lots of this, but lately I started waking up at 5 am just about every morning to go watch the sun come up more often.

In this video I will show you how to create dramatic photos using Lightroom adjustment brushes. This is a very useful tool and comes in handy with just about any photo you are trying to edit, from event photography to landscape photography.
