Below is a list of the best photography spots Tuscany has to offer. These are places you will want to visit often and have my seal of approval. I also wrote when the best times to photograph at these locations are. The best photography spots in Tuscany are all very easy to access. Pack light and get to work. If you hustle you can get all these done by the time your vacation is done.  I recommend spending at least 4-6 days in this magical place.

THE GEAR

The gear I used for all my photos: Nikon D850 with a Nikon 14-24mm and a Nikon 2485mm.  A MeFOTO tripod and a wide-angle is a must. I edit all my images with my Lightroom Presets download them and give them a try.

1. Tuscany Grove.  This place is located along the street from Siena to San Quirico d’Orcia. You can’t miss it. Pullover on the side of the road and get your epic shot. The best time to shoot is during sunset. The recommended lens is a 24-70mm.

2. Podere Belvedere Italy. This place is absolutely stunning. Show up early as it tends to get packed. There are also a few different locations to shoot from, so give yourself enough time to scout. The best time to shoot is during sunset. The recommended lens is a 24-70mm.

3. Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta Italy. This chapel is absolutely stunning. You can actually drive to it and hike up a bit to get to it to photograph it up close from the front and from the back. If you want to photograph it from far away you need to get on the opposite street facing it. The best lens to use is 24-70 and 70-200. The best time to shoot is any time during the day. If you want to get the best light on the actual chapel during sunset golden hour is best.

4. Poggio Covili Italy.  Possibly the largest row of cypress in a single line. This place is a must. There are plenty of places to park. The best lens to use is a 24-70  and 70-200 if you have a model. The best time to shoot is at any time.

5. Agriturismo Baccolero Italy. This place is a bit far but it is well worth the drive. I came up at sunrise but I was late. I still managed to get a good shot. I would say come here for sunset. The best lens to youse is a super-wide or a 24-70.

6. Saturnia Hot Springs. This place is a must. It’s a bit of a way out but you have to come to check it out. Pro tip: get here about 1 hour before sunrise. As soon as they open this place gets packed. The best lens to use is any. I used a drone for this one.

7. The green fields. As you drive along and look outside your window, make sure you pull over and photograph the green fields. Tuscany is such a picturesque place that anywhere you look is purely amazing. Take advantage of your visit.

8. The Tree Lines. When you start to get late into the day and are driving around looking for the perfect spot. Make sure you look around you and look at the treelines. These can be seen from just about anywhere on the road. I shot this on my way home shortly after sunset.  The best lens to use is a zoom lens.

Whenever it is you decide to go to Tuscany, it is always picturesque. Make sure you bring a tripod and look around. I could spend a lifetime photographing these beautiful hills, especially during the beautiful sunrise and sunset colors.
