Ocean Drive is one of the most iconic places in Miami. I wanted to capture it like I have never seen it before. There are so many photos of this iconic street but I have never seen any close-ups from the air.
This is where my drone came into play, I wanted to get some different perspectives but at the same time capture the famous street in a way it could be recognized for what it is, Ocean Dr.

Tropical Park is located in Miami Florida, it is a beautiful park full of massive green trees, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, and an amazing new track and football field. I shot this yesterday right after sunset. The clouds looked crazy, I thought it was going to rain, but lucky for me it never did.
I ended up flying well past sunset, the views just kept getting better and better and I just couldn’t stop. I ended up flying for an hour or so and burned through five batteries. It was perfect, the photos are the icing on the cake.

Here is a centerfold that was published in the November issue of Viajes National Geographic, I have been working with them for the last few months to get this done.
I shot this from a Zeppelin flying over Miami Beach, Florida, what a cool experience. I feel very fortunate to have flown in one, do you know there are only three in existence? All the others are blimps. Yes, there is a difference.
There is a really good article about Florida, if you get a chance to pick up the magazine you should it’s all about traveling to incredible locations.

Horseshoe Bend Page Arizona
Here is one of the famous Horseshoe Bend in Page Arizona. I have seen so many photos of this place and have been wanting to shoot it, but I really wanted to get a different perspective, so I flew over it and shot this from the air.
We spend the night in an RV on the parking lot and woke up bright and early for sunrise. It was awesome and worth the early rise. Shortly after we headed to Antelope Canyon.

Florida Polytechnic University an epic architectural feat. It is no secret that I have a bit of an obsession with architecture, once I saw a photo of this place I wanted to visit right away. Lucky for me the opportunity presented itself and there I was. Once I arrived, I was intrigued by the design, it looks like a massive spacecraft laying in the middle of nowhere. Lucky for me there was no-one around and I had the entire place to my self, inside and outside.
Florida Poly was established on April 20, 2012, and it is located in Lakeland Florida, between Orlando and Tampa Florida. It focuses on careers in advanced fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava was selected to design the campus’ first building.
Upon its arrival, I was stunned by what I saw. The Florida Polytechnic University looks like a spaceship that just landed from outer space. The closer you get to it, the better it looks. As I approached the front door, my jaw began to drop. It is such a cool building, I stood there in awe for a few minutes before picking up my camera to start taking photos.
If you ever get a chance to visit, stop by you will not be disappointed.
If you are planning a trip to Orlando, or anywhere in Florida, you can get some great hotel deals and great flight deals anywhere in the world. Use promo code WORLD30 to get a discount on flights. Expedia also has great deals at the moment.
THE GEAR
The gear I used for all my photos: Drone DJI Mavic, Nikon D800 with a Nikon 14-24mm and a Nikon 24-85mm. A MeFOTO tripod and a wide angle is a must. I edit all my images with my Lightroom Presets download them and give them a try.

Living in Miami I always see this massive cruise ships arriving and leaving the port, I have actually been in a few of this things and they are impressive. I always feel so tiny!!! I always wonder how this massive structures float. (displacement I know, I know, but I mean seriously??)
Over the last couple weeks I have been going to the port to shoot this things parked, loading and unloading people, food, and drinks. It has been a fun project and one I will continue to work on in the next few months.
They almost look like toys from up high, but I can assure you they are anything but. Some are smaller than others, some are elegant and some just look like a blast!!!
The last one on this page is my favorite, I shot it a few different days with different lighting, but this one is the best. Have you ever been on one?
