Santa’s Enchanted Forest

One of the weirdest places in Miami for sure. This is Santa’s Enchanted Forest, and from what I hear it has been around forever.

From the highway, you see loads of lights and makes you want to go in and check it out. Extremely misleading, I made that mistake once, but thats another story. (don’t do it) Unless you are going there to see the snake lady she’s cool!

From the sky its completely different, a cool looking place to say the least. I shot these with my drone during sunset. I love all the shapes and lights that create this weird place…

Shell Key St Pete Beach Florida

On this particular trip around South Florida, traveling up the East Coast of Florida to Cocoa Beach and ending up St. Pete. (the West Coast of Florida) I was having so much fun that I extended my stay for 2 more days.

You can expect sunsets like the ones below, without any tourists and without any noise. The very few people you see, disappear right after sunset.

St Pete Beach

A few days later I headed South towards Naples Florida and ended up in Shell Key, not too far from St. Pete Beach. It looked promising and I almost took a boat ride there. The boat rides costs $20.00 and they take you there and bring you back.

Before I committed to a boat, I decided to take my drone up in the air and see Shell Key for my self. After viewing it from the air, I decided to pass on the boat ride and keep heading South. I made it to Sarasota….

Gulfstream Park

What you see here are some Aerial shots of The Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino. This is a cool spot to come watch horse racing. Its a popular hang out for my pops, and I often come with him to spend some son and dad time and kick back some cold ones :)

I grew up in Nevada so the Casino is not very impressive to me, but the track is really nice and the action is always good.

The pegasus you see, is a new 110 foot tall bronze sculpture that is almost finished. They have been working on it for a while, the estimated cost of the sculpture was 30 million.

PEGASUS BY THE NUMBERS:
What: Pegasus slaying a dragon

Nuts and bolts: 18,000 screws

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

If you come to Miami you must visit Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, this place is incredible. I have been inside many times and have even done some commercial photo shoots there, and what can I say this place is really, really cool. From the actual mansion to the gardens, it is a must when visiting Miami.

I shot this aerials the other day on a beautiful morning during an amazing sunrise. Vizcaya faces East, and I wanted the sun to light up the place.

Villa Vizcaya, now named the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, is the former villa and estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida. (Via Wikipedia)

Miami Sunset from the Sky

Here is an incredible sunset over the Miami skyline. I was out flying my drone this particular day, and all of a sudden all of the elements came together. The sun was perfectly sitting over the road giving me enough time to set up my shot and snap the flick before fading into the night.

The Biltmore Hotel Miami

One of the most iconic hotels in Miami is the Biltmore Hotel. It is located in Coral Gables and it is an incredible place. As soon as you see it, the Biltmore takes you back in time.

I have shot weddings in this hotel and have been to the EVERGLADES SUITE, this is the largest suite coming in at 1830 sq ft. This is one of the most amazing 2 story suites I have ever been in. (I will post photos later)

I wanted to see this place from the sky and show the property and the amazing golf course around it. If you are ever in Miami and want to check out a historic place, come here. It its truly a master piece.
