5 Mistakes ALL Beginner Photographers Make You Must Avoid

Are you new to photography? In this video, I will show you the top 5 mistakes all beginner photographers make that you need to avoid. Do not worry, I used to do the same thing when I started out as a photographer.

Here are 5 mistakes ALL beginner photographers make. Trust me I used to make them too and you must avoid them at all cost. I hope this helps you out a bit and you can start taking better photos right away.

1.  Crooked horizon. This is the most common of them all. Always make sure your horizon is straight.

2.  Overexpose your highlights. Once you blow out your highlights you can never get them back. It is better to underexpose an image then overexpose. This will guarantee you will never lose your sky.

3.  Shaky photos. When the light is dim use a tripod. If you do not have one raise your ISO and use a faster shutter speed. This will prevent any camera shake and guarantee a sharp image.

4.  Overpack. As a new photographer, you have loads of new gear. Understandably you want to use it all. You Won’t. Overpacking will only slow you down and confuse you keeping you from getting the perfect shot.

5.  Showing up late. Show up early, scout the area and be ready for the shot when the light is just right.

Always remember to have fun out there and enjoy the scenery.

5 tips to Improve your photography right now without buying new gear

Do you want to improve your photography? One of the questions I get the most is how can I improve my photography?

Thre are many whats to improve your photography. I created this video in efforts to answer this common question and also to share with you what I do on a daily basis to improve my skills. It is not really rocketing science, all it takes its a bit of effort, and a desire to learn and master the craft.

In order to improve your photography, you need to understand one thing. Photography is about telling a compelling story, nothing more. If you think about it, all the great photos ever taken from the past, have been created with a camera that is older and not as technologically advanced as yours. Do you think Amsel Addams had a Nikon D850? Do not focus too much on the gear, focus on your story and how to tell it well.

My favorite is number one. Just leave the house. Go outside and get inspired. It is a lot harder to find inspiration inside your house. As soon as you step outside your house and get that breath of fresh air, everything changes.
