Here is a short vid of the Carnival Splendor Leaving the Port of Miami.
Here is another ship from my collection. Lately there have been lots of new ships coming into port, not sure if its high season for cruising, but whatever the reason is I really like it. This is the Regent, I shot it the other day right before sunset.
I was driving by the port when I looked to my left I immediately saw the Carnival Splendor. I realized that I did not have this ship in my Cruise Ships at Port collection. So I immediately turned around and went to shoot it. It was perfect. You can now see it on the collection of my never ending project Cruise Ships at Port.
As the sun starts to set, this incredible Carnival Cruise Ship leaves the port of Miami. Its such a site to see, like an elephant marching into the wild. This site never gets old. The Miami port is aways ready for departure with new adventures in the open sea.
Living in Miami I always see this massive cruise ships arriving and leaving the port, I have actually been in a few of this things and they are impressive. I always feel so tiny!!! I always wonder how this massive structures float. (displacement I know, I know, but I mean seriously??)
Over the last couple weeks I have been going to the port to shoot this things parked, loading and unloading people, food, and drinks. It has been a fun project and one I will continue to work on in the next few months.
They almost look like toys from up high, but I can assure you they are anything but. Some are smaller than others, some are elegant and some just look like a blast!!!
The last one on this page is my favorite, I shot it a few different days with different lighting, but this one is the best. Have you ever been on one?
