Abandoned Boomers Florida

When I heard that Boomers was coming down, I had to take a trip there to photograph it. What you see below are photos from three different trips, shot from a helicopter and the oldschool way walking around with my camera.

This type of places always creep me out, but this one was not that creepy, it was just kind of sad how operations just stoped and the place kind of just stood empty for a long time in hopes that someoene would purchase it and keep it going.

I managed to climb up the roller coaster and that was super scary, it got so steap and hard to walk that I had a baby panic attack, but it didn’t latst long. I usually never post so many photos, but in this case as with all my other abandoned photo series I thought I would give you lots to look at.

People tell me that this was the happening spot back in the day, did you ever come here? Id love to hear some sotries. If you visited it drop me a line on the comments below.

Las Vegas Nevada

Las Vegas Nevada, aka sin city, if you have never been there you have to put it in your bucket list. I have been there quite a few times and it’s always a crazy time. This particular trip I wanted to get a really good shot of the strip. So I booked a room at the Cosmopolitan. They have incredible views. You just have to ask them to put you on the highest floor facing the Bellagio. You will have one of the best views in all of Las Vegas and an incredible room.

Las Vegas Nevada

I stayed here for 2 nights and the first night we had an incredible sunset. No to mention the water show below is spectacular. I want to go back and book different rooms throughout to get different shots of the strip. I also want to rent a helicopter and get some aerial shots. That’s on my future plans for sin city. This time I want to spend more time checking out the incredible entertainment this place has.

The American Bald Eagle

The bald eagle, our national bird, is the only eagle unique to North America. When I got the chance to photograph this incredible bird I was so exited, specially since there was a baby in the nest.

I stood in the sun without any shade for 3.5 hrs waiting for the mom to return to the nest, I figured she went to get food for the baby. I was in the verge of calling it quits thinking the eagle was not coming back any time soon, but then she appeared. (I would never quit, but I was hot and my legs were getting tired)

She had some kind of rodent and killed it in the nest before feeding it to the baby, it was really cool to watch. I feel very luky and honored to have have witnesed and photographed this incredible bird.

What I love about my workshops

One thing that I have learned about my workshops is how much I love to share what I have learned over the years with other people. I’m a big fan of workshops and have taken them with all kinds of phtographers. I believe this is the best way to learn, not only do you meet amzing people with your same interests but, you also get to pick their brain and learn a lot from them in a short amout of time.

Its not until I stared teaching that I realized teaching is just as much about learning than it is about teaching. When I am involved with this small gorups of photogrpahers we are able to share ideas and knoledge and it goes both ways. I am very greatful to be lucky enough to get this oportunity. What is also amazing is that I often get to see the same faces in the different workshops that I do.

Its alwyas great when people leave with a grin on their face. This moments are so special to me as a landscape photogrpaer and sharing it with others is something even more incredible. Thank you to everyone that comes out to my workshops and supports me throughout. Here is a photo from this weekends Sunrise Workshop. It has become very popular and very meaningful to me. Even if I’m not teaching you can find me here year round catching an amzing sunrise by my self.
