Have you ever been to Mars? I have, and many times over. It’s not really mars, but it sure feels like it. I have been going to burning man for a long time. However, I haven’t gone for a few years now. I guess I got a bit tired and wanted to travel to other places during those dates.
Let’s get back to the topic, Burning man is canceled! Really??? No no no, not really, but for the past 2 years, it has been canceled due to the pandemic. What a bummer, because burning man is good times to be had. Imagine all your best friends that you have never met, having the time of their life on a completely different planet where everything goes… That’s kind of what burning man is like.
How crazy would it be if burning man gets completely canceled? Well, I’m not sure if that will ever happen, but if it did, I think we would be ok. This past year during “burning man” or canceled burning man, lots of people showed up to black rock desert to do a “renegade burn”. From looking at the photos, it was EPIC. Burning Man 2015, what a weird crazy year just like the rest of them. I could go on and on and on ranting about Burning Man, but I think you rather look at the photos and try to figure out wtf happened. Here are some of my favorite photos from Burning Man 2015.

This is the last photo I took as we were leaving the burn. It was amazing getting to the hotel taking a long hot shower and sleeping in a real bed before driving back to Texas then jumping on a plane to Miami…
Here is a short poem I wrote in a hotel room a few weeks ago. I paired it up with this photo of the temple burning out at Burning Man a few weeks back. Actually this was born from looking at this photo while putting some words together…
Everything goes up in flames
the good the bad and even the strange days
the heart breaks and the tears
even your biggest fears
You don’t have to worry
this is all too temporary
just keep walking slowly
towards the mortuary

Burning Man 2012 awesomeness. What can I tell you about Burning Man? Well I wouldn’t be doing it any justice if I try to explain what Burning Man is all about, its one of those things you have to experience for your self. Here is a set of photos of this incredible place. I did lots of time lapses so I didn’t get to shoot that much, but I did manage to get some really cool shots (another set coming soon) I also got to meet some incredible artists and hang out with the best of friends.
