Street Art in Brazil

Brazil, what an incredible place, the people, the landscapes, and the street art. As soon as I got out of the plane and onto the streets thats the first thing that I noticed, was the incredible street art, its everywhere.

You don’t see bad graffiti I mean you see some incredible pieces of art. Everywhere you walk, everywhere you look, its there, an amazing piece of art for you to enjoy. I felt like I was walking through the art district the entire time I was there, and let me tell you the vibe is in the air.

From the beaches, to the favelas, and everything in between, here are some cool pieces from Rio.

It was my last night in Brasilia, I was walking around with my dad taking photos, the TV Antena was about to close but we got in just in time. I was up there for about 5 minutes and snapped 3 exposures, I really didn’t like what I saw, so I left.

When I got back home (in the states) I was going through my photos and ran into this one (I had completely forgotten about it). Even though it was quiet out and not lots of cars on the road, I think the photo came out looking good. Best part about it is that I was with my dad…

Next day we headed back to Rio, to carry on with the World Cup Festivities.

Seems so quiet now that the games are over.

What can I say, this is my second world cup and certainly not my last. My first time to Brazil and for sure not my last.[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]This World Cup was very special to me because I spent it with my dad, much like my fist one in 1994, but this time I’m a bit older and we had a bit more fun :) inf fact we had such a blast in Brazil that yesterday during the Final we stared making plans to go to Russia to the next one.

From here on out I can not miss another World Cup, there is something very special about it. Its so much bigger than a game. If you have ever been to one you know what I am talking about. I didn’t have much time to shoot but I did manage to sneak a few good shots in between the madness. So I leave you with this two. I did this edit with one of my HDR Lighroom Presets.[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image type=”none” float=”none” link=”true” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” src=”8022″ href=”https://blog.edinchavez.com/downloads/hdr-lightroom-presets/”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Pão de Açúcar, Brazil

After a short red eye from Miami to Sao Paulo I jumped on another short plane to Rio De Janeiro. I had arrived. My first time in Rio I mean what was I do to? I got settled in and went down to the beach to take some pics, shortly after I found my self drinking caipirinhas. Feeling good after the sun had set. next thing you know the night turned into morning. It was crazy, my night went something like the movie The Hangover.

Pão de Açúcar, Brazil

After getting home at 5 am I laid in my bed waiting for my tour guide to show up, I jumped in the shower to try to wash the caipirinhas off (didn’t work by the way) and next thing you know the door bell rang. Yikes!!!!

Pão de Açúcar Rio De Janeiro

After a long day with dark sunglasses I ended up on top of Pão de Açúcar (8 hrs later) but as soon as I got there, my hangover was gone, the sleep depravation went away and I was left with this incredible view. To people like me views like this cure everything, specially when sharing them with dad, including crazy nights in Copa Cabana…. Until next time Brazil.
